Medical Team Lead
Crystal is a proud 28 year veteran of the Army Nurse Corps. She served
in multiple Military and Civilian hospitals during her career in peace times and in times of
war. Her nursing specialties focused on emergency medicine and in later years on hospice
care.
She has volunteered for Honor Flight Maine since
2016 and became a member of the Board of Directors in 2023. She serves at the Medical
Team Lead and in this position she reviews every veteran and guardian application. She
confirms every veteran and guardian for each trip and arranges for all needed medical
equipment for those traveling on a trip.
My mother quoted Mr. Rogers who said, “Always look for the helpers.” Mom added, “Be one.”
I have followed that advice and felt called by God to improve the lives of others by being a
nurse.
Veterans are my passion as I am one and can relate to them on their level. Honor Flight
Maine is ALL about veterans, and in my retirement, so am I. I am grateful for this privilege.
