HISTORY WITH HONOR FLIGHT MAINE: My journey with Honor Flight Maine began when I volunteered to be a guardian for a World War II U.S Army/Air Corps Veteran Don Gallupe. As of the writing of this information, he is now 101 years young, and we continue to still be great friends. I considered it an honor and privilege to be his guardian and learned so much from one of our Greatest Generation. The experience of sharing this trip with Don impacted me so greatly that I wanted to be more involved with Honor Flight Maine.
WHY AM I PASSIONATE ABOUT HONOR FLIGHT MAINE: I deeply care about the Honor Flight Maine Mission and am honored to be part of a great team of Patriots who have a passion to ensure our Maine Veterans know how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice for our freedoms. I love traveling across the state of Maine visiting veterans from all generations and learning their story of service to our country, offering a helping hand with connecting them to resources and services that can help make their lives better, and honoring them. Many times I have thought about how I can make a difference in our world and I have found my purpose. We are the Home of the Free because of the Brave.
